TERMS & CONDITIONS LANGPORT RUNNERS – PORTCULLIS TRAIL 10k

By checking the box on the registration form labelled “I accept the terms & Conditions and waiver” you fully agree to all of the following: Definitions In these Terms and Conditions, “You” and “Your” refers to you the Participant named on the race registration, this includes anyone who is added or substituted at a later date) or any of them as the context requires. “We”, “Us” and “Our” refers to the organisers Langport Runners. “EVENT or “RACE” refers to the Portcullis 10k Trail Race.

1. EVENT ENTRY

1.1 By registering for the Event you agree to Our Disclaimer and Terms and Conditions.

1.2 You must be 17 or over to enter the Race.

1.3 The entry fee for the Race is non-refundable, except at Our discretion.

2. EVENT CANCELLATION

2.1 We reserve the right to cancel the Race in the event of unforeseen irremediable circumstances beyond Our control. We will make every effort to inform you of cancellation no later than 24 hours before the race.

2.2 The entry fee for the Race is non-refundable, except at Our discretion.

3. CHANGES TO THE EVENT

3.1 We reserve the right to modify the advertised Race route if we feel it is necessary.

4. YOUR OBLIGATIONS

4.1 You must abide by and continue to abide by All the terms in Our terms & conditions.

4.2 You must follow any instructions given to you by Our race Officials and marshals.

4.3 You agree to act responsibly during the Event and to refrain from any behaviour that puts others in danger.

4.4 You must wear the race number that is allocated to you, anyone found to be using someone else’s number will be disqualified.

5. PARTICIPANT EJECTION FROM THE EVENT

5.1 Providing falsified information or impersonating others

5.2 Failing to follow instructions or being in breach of Our T&Cs

5.3 Failing to make it to the start line on time or falling behind set race time limits.

5.4 Being intoxicated or acting in a manner that may endanger others, cause harm to the environment or serious offence to others.

6. PARTICIPANT WITHDRAWAL & REFUND

6.1 The entry fee for the Race is non-refundable, except at Our discretion.

7.0 PARTICIPANT DECLARATION

7.1 By participating in our events you confirm that you are fit, healthy and have an appropriate level of fitness You are responsible for informing us of any medical or nonmedical details that may affect your or another participant's safety and enjoyment. All medical conditions will be treated confidentially.

7.2 By entering the race You authorise Us and our medical staff the right to provide medical treatment in an emergency.

7.3 We do not provide medical insurance and You agree to be liable for any medical expenses incurred.

8.0 LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

8.1 We (Langport Runners) are not liable for any loss of profit, reputation, business or otherwise suffered in any form by you taking part in the Event.

9 DATA PROTECTION

9.1 You agree to us using your personal data for the purposes of fulfilling the Event including the publication of race results.

9.2 You agree to the sharing of Your personal data with medical personnel in case of an emergency.

9.3 You agree to us using your name, quotes, video, and photographic likeness for marketing and promotional purposes.

9.4 You agree to the sharing of Your personal data with any third parties We may want to run promotions with.

10 GENERAL TERMS

11 WAIVER

By checking the box on the registration form you fully agree to all the following:

You agree to the terms and conditions of the race. You fully agree to our waiver.

You understand that running in a trail race is a potentially hazardous activity, which could cause injury or death.

You agree you will not enter and participate unless medically able and properly trained, by agreeing to this waiver You certify that You are medically able to perform this event, are in good health, and are properly trained.

You agree to abide by any decision of a race official relative to any aspect of Your participation in this event, including the right of any official to deny or suspend my participation for any reason whatsoever.

You attest that You have read the UKA rules of the race and agree to abide by them.

You assume all risks associated with running in this event, including but not limited to falls, physical contact with other participants, volunteers, race personnel, contract service providers, employees, and spectators including the potential contraction of a communicable disease resulting from contact with other participants, volunteers, race personnel, contract service providers, employees, and spectators.

You understand that bicycles, skateboards, baby joggers/strollers, roller skates or inline skates, animals, and personal music players are not allowed in the race, and You will abide by all race rules.

 

Having read this waiver and knowing these facts and in consideration of Us accepting Your entry, You and anyone entitled to act on Your behalf, waive and release Portcullis Trail 10k, Langport and Langport Runners, all event sponsors, their representatives and successors from all claims or liabilities of any kind arising out of Your participation in this event, even though that liability may arise out of negligence or carelessness on the part of the persons named in this waiver.

You grant permission to all the foregoing to use my photographs, motion pictures, recordings, or any other record of this event for any legitimate purposes.

You understand that this event does not provide for refunds in the event of a cancellation, and by agreeing to this waiver, you consent that You are not entitled to a refund if the event is cancelled before or during the event
